AND SOME THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN
 
Q: HOW DO I OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH YOUR FIRM?
A: Your account is opened with the custodian brokerage firm, TD Ameritrade Institutional (TDA). Our new accounts clerk prepares all of the required paperwork for your signature. When  transferring an account from another firm, the transfer papers are processed with your new account paperwork. 
 
Q: HOW IS MY ACCOUNT PROTECTED?
A: At TDA the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC) protects your account for up to $500,000 and Private Insurance protects the balance, up to $150,000,000.

Q: WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR RESEARCH?
A: Our primary investment research is conducted internally. We also subscribe to investment research from many independent sources including Argus, Bloomberg, Fords, Journal of Indexes, Market Monitor, Morningstar, Multex, Research Magazine, Standard and Poors, and many other well-known research organizations.

Q: HOW DO YOU MONITOR MY ACCOUNT?
A: Russell Capital Management has an in-house portfolio management software system, which downloads all account data each morning. With this software system we monitor portfolio positions including realized and unrealized gains and losses and performance. Additionally we access your account on line at the custodian.

Q: HOW DO YOU ENTER ORDERS?
A: Orders are entered securely on-line through the TDA order entry system or by telephone to their institutional trading desk.

Q: HOW DO I GET MONEY OUT OF MY ACCOUNT?
A: There are several ways to do this. Clients may call our office to request a check by mail or Fed wire. Many clients have a set monthly transfer to their bank account   Additionally clients may call a toll free number at TDA to request a check.



 
Q: CAN I PICK UP A CHECK FROM YOUR OFFICE?
A: No. Russell Capital Management does not keep clients funds. All withdrawal requests are forwarded to the custodian.

Q: HOW DO I PAY RUSSELL CAPITAL MANAGEMENT FOR THEIR SERVICES?
A: Our portfolio management system calculates your fee quarterly in arrears and transmits the fee amount to the custodian. All clients are notified of fee calculations prior to their account being debited.

Q: CAN RCM MANAGE ASSETS HELD AT BANK TRUST DEPARTMENTS.
A: Yes, we manage accounts that are held at bank trust departments.

Q: HOW DO I KNOW HOW MY ACCOUNT IS DOING?
A: All clients are provided with a quarterly performance report that includes: percentage performance for the quarter, year-to-date, and from inception vs. an appropriate benchmark.

Q: IN WHAT STATES ARE YOU LISCENSED?
A: Russell Capital Management is a federally  registered SEC investment advisor and has clients in many states.

Q: IF MY ADVISOR IS NOT IN, WITH WHOM SHOULD I SPEAK?
A: You can talk to any other investment manager or administrative person in the firm. All managers are familiar with the investment strategies of the firm and administrative personnel will be able to help you with any questions relating to administrative matters.
 
Q: CAN I VIEW MY ACCOUNT ON LINE?
A: Yes. We will provide our clients a login and password to view their TDA account on-line with access through the RCM web site.  
 
 

 

Q: CAN I BRING A STOCK OR BOND CERTIFICATE OR CHECK TO YOUR OFFICE FOR DEPOSIT TO MY ACCOUNT?
A: You may bring in or mail a check drawn to the order TD Ameritrade for forwarding to them  Under SEC rules RCM cannot forward or take possession of stock or bond certificates in any way. If you would like for RCM to maintain a copy of the certificate for your file, please send us a copy of the certificate or you may come to the office and make copy. RCM will be happy to prepare an overnight envelope for delivery of the certificates to TDA.

Q: MAY I REQUEST A TRADE BE PLACED IN MY ACCOUNT?
A: Yes. You may call the office and direct trades in your account. You may also wish to talk to your advisor about the merits of a specific investment.

Q: WHAT DOES "SITTING ON THE SAME SIDE OF THE TABLE" MEAN?
A: RCM is paid based on the value of your investments not by how much trading is done in your account. Our interests are the same as yours - to see your account value grow. We therefore sit on the same side of the table without conflicting interests.

Q: WHY RUSSELL CAPITAL MANAGEMENT?
A: We work only for you.
 
Q: WHAT IS THE EXPERIENCE OF YOUR ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF?
A: Most of our career administrative staff members have been with the firm and in the investment industry for many years. You may call them at any time with questions about your account and be assured that you will receive prompt, accurate and courteous service.
